"GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY OF THE MABINAY SPORTS AND CULTURAL CENTER: BUILDING A LEGACY OF SPORTS AND CULTURE"
A significant milestone was reached today in the
Municipality of Mabinay as officials and community leaders gathered for the
groundbreaking ceremony of the much-anticipated Mabinay Sports and Cultural
Center. The facility, designed to be a hub for athletic excellence and
community engagement, is set to transform the local sports landscape.
Attendees, including Congresswoman Lani Mercado
Revilla, Congressman Manuel “Chiquiting” Sagarbarria, Board Member Jun Arnaiz
and Erwin Macias, Mayor Ernie T. Uy, Vice-Mayor Joeterry A. Uy, and local
officials, marked the occasion with a ceremonial turning of the soil,
symbolizing the start of the center’s construction. The Mabinay Sports and
Cultural Center will feature indoor courts and multi-purpose spaces designed to
serve both professional athletes and recreational users alike.
“This sports center is a testament to our commitment to promoting health, wellness, and community spirit,” said Mayor Uy. “It will provide our residents with access to world-class facilities and create opportunities for future champions.” Once finished, the Mabinay Sports and Cultural Center will host local events, training sessions, and regional competitions, boosting both community pride and the local economy.
