14th ANNIVERSARY: A COMMITMENT TO A SMOKEFREE MUNICIPALITY"
The anniversary of a smoke-free municipality is not just a celebration of policy but a celebration of community, health, and hope. It embodies the firm dedication to creating a healthy and secure environment free from tobacco. The event took place on October 9, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at the Mabinay Lingganay Stage. The program was fascinating; there was a parade in the morning. Following the parade was an inter-school band competition featuring schools from both the primary and secondary levels and a cheerdance competition in the afternoon, with employees participating.
The speaker, who is a nurse and a Human Resource Officer II in the municipality of Manjuyod, highlights that this milestone not only signifies the passage of time but also highlights the enormous effect of the collective efforts on public health and community well-being in the municipality. Governor Chaco Sagarbarria presented the planned future improvements for the aforementioned municipality.
Following the program's conclusion, Mabinay Central School became victorious in primary levels, alongside Mabinay National High School, District 3, which placed first in the overall cheerdance competition. Mayor Ernie T. Uy added that as we take note of our victories, let us recommit to a healthy future for every citizen, making sure that our municipality continues to be a healthy and an inspiration to others.
